Are You Saving Fish?

Isn’t Life Amazing? Everything has changed SO much just in my short 50 years!

We used to receive an occasional phone call from a friend or maybe a letter. Now we get multiple messages by the hour, sometimes by the minute!  It’s crazy…

But that is not the type of message I am talking about in this post. I am talking about getting multiple messages from…God.

I don’t have a religion and I don’t box that word in, but I honestly don’t know what else to call that invisible power that seems to place things right where we will trip over them to get our attention LOL

On Saturday, I wrote a post on receiving the same message 3 times in one day. Not an email…I mean going from activity to activity and finding the same “lesson”. I haven’t even posted it yet and already there are more AHA’s to write about!

I know, people joke about facebook and video games all the time but let me share something.

I saw this picture on facebook and it hit me like a brick in the chest. Other people commented “poor fish”…”did you know fish can really drown?” etc. It spoke to me in a whole different way.

Sooooo many of us are waving the “Let me help you” banner. We all have our different specialties…typically whatever worked for us. We have our ideas and beliefs on how to heal, communicate, exercise, run a business…even worship.

When things are looking good for us, we start spouting our “wisdom” to people in hopes of “saving them” from the hardships we went through.

It’s as well intended as this little girl saving this fish. Look at her face! She is SOOO Happy and feels so good about herself for saving this fish! She Loves this fish with all her heart!

But the fish was fine. It was exactly where it needed to be.The water she saved it from was the perfect environment the fish needed to grow.

Are You Saving Fish?

What are we saving people from? God, the Universe whatever you want to call it evidently knows what it is we need…it appears that our environments, no matter how messy they may seem…are the perfect environment for us to grow.

Each of us is so unique in how things effect us.

Just like this picture…every comment was different. Some saw the fish….some the scientific curiosity…at least one was inspired to write a blog and encourage herself and others to be more respectful of everyone’s path.

There is nothing wrong with sharing what we learn. It is only human nature to want to help people, but we must be careful not to suffocate others in the process.

They are learning from their own unique experience.

Just like a video game…but I will save that for
the next post 🙂
